    This is one of my favorite hikes in Rhode Island. The route I've taken 10+ times is fully detailed in Ken Weber's book "Weekend Walks in Rhode Island: 40 Trails for Hiking, Birding & Nature Viewing". You'll nearly always see Osprey on the power lines cutting across the pond. There are tons of others birds and wildlife as well. Dogs and mountain biking are permitted. The pond is not good for dog swimming so bring water. This place is best in April or May. In the summer it is super buggy. Park at the main lot at the end of Great Neck Road.
